چکیده
High nitrogen application aimed at increasing crop yield is offset by higher production costs and negative environmental consequences. For wheat, only one third of the applied utilized, which indicates there scope for Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE). However, achieving greater NUE challenged complexity trait, comprises processes associated with uptake, transport, reduction, assimilation, translocation remobilization. Thus, knowledge genetic regulation these critical in NUE. Although primary uptake metabolism-related genes have been well studied, relative influence each towards not fully understood. Recent attention has focused on engineering transcription factors identification miRNAs acting expression specific related to Knowledge obtained from model species needs be translated into wheat using recently-released whole genome sequences, exploring variations NUE-related traits wild relatives ancient germplasm. findings indicate basis complex. Pyramiding various will most effective approach achieve a satisfactory level field.

Study of genetic diversity in bread wheat germplasm using nitrogen uptake and nitrogen use efficiency characteristics
In order to evaluate the traits related to nitrogen utilization and to identify the superior genotypes, 33 bread wheat landraces along three check cultivars of Chamran and Koohdasht (from Iran) and Gobustan (from the Republic of Azerbaijan) were studied in simple lattice statistical design with two replications under two treatments of non-usage and application of 200 kg/ha ammonium nitrate fert...
متن کاملGrafting to improve nitrogen-use efficiency traits in tobacco plants
Nitrate plays a major role in the yield and quality of tobacco plants. This work explored the nitrogen-use efficiency (NUE) and how it can be affected by grafting. Two experiments were designed: in the first, using six commercial tobacco cultivars, the best cultivar for the NUE was selected and analysed for foliar NO3− content, total N, nicotine and nitrate reductase (NR) activity. The results ...

An assessment of the nitrogen fertilization efficiency should not only include quantitativeand qualitative yield changes, but also an analysis of formation some indicators such as: Nharvest index (NHI), N use efficiency (NUE), N utilization efficiency (NUtE), N agronomicefficiency (NAE), N physiological efficiency (NPE) and N apparent recovery fraction (NRF).The objective of the study was the e...
متن کاملGenetic Dissection of Root Morphological Traits Related to Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Brassica napus L. under Two Contrasting Nitrogen Conditions
As the major determinant for nutrient uptake, root system architecture (RSA) has a massive impact on nitrogen use efficiency (NUE). However, little is known the molecular control of RSA as related to NUE in rapeseed. Here, a rapeseed recombinant inbred line population (BnaZNRIL) was used to investigate root morphology (RM, an important component for RSA) and NUE-related traits under high-nitrog...
متن کاملSimulation Analysis of Physiological Traits to Improve Yield, Nitrogen Use Efficiency and Grain Protein Concentration in Wheat
The pressure of economic cost and environmental constraints dictates that farmers must optimize the use of nitrogen fertilizer. Industrial uses of new wheat varieties require specific and stable grain protein concentration, which needs accurate estimation of N demand during the crop cycle. Thus breeding for high N use efficiency (NUE) and yield, whilst maintaining high grain protein concentrati...
